Gilmore Adventure Race

Bill, Sara, and I went up to Prescott this weekend to compete in an adventure race. Sara was competing with 2 of her cousins on her team, Blake and Spencer. The name of their team was "I'm pretty sure were lost". Bill and I competed on a team with Brad Crane and Tasha Adams. The name of our team was "here goes nothing". The race was mountain biking, hiking, kyaking, mystery obstacles, and a 12 foot wall the whole team went over. The whole thing is done by maps and compass. They give you cordinates and you find them on the map and then find them in the mountains. It was a total blast!!!! Sara's age group was a total of about 13 miles. They did great!! They were the youngest team by a few years, and it was their first adventure race. They didn't get lost and they completed the whole race! Bill and my group was about 25 miles. We didn't win any medals but we had a blast!!! It was mine and Tasha's first adventure, Bill and Brad have done one before. Bill hit a boulder wrong and did a front flip on his bike, and still landed on his feet! It was awesome! Tasha and I saw the whole thing!!! Everyone had a great time!

Nerd Day and wax museum

About 2 weeks ago there was nerd day at school. Becca really dressed up for the part. Hannah had wax museum that day so she had on her costume. I took really cute pictures of Chloe and Zoey in the hall at school on the way to the wax museum.

Crazy Hair Day

Friday was crazy hair day at school. I think that is my kids favorite day of the whole school year!! Sara did Hannah and Becca's hair this year, she did a great job!!! Hannah was a Christmas tree, Becca was just downright crazy, and Timmy wanted an arrow like the avatar. So Bill shaved an arrow out of his hair. At recess all the kids played avatar and guess who was the avatar??? They all looked great and loved it!!! Chloe and Zoey just wanted to join in the fun picture taking time too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!!! Today is my niece Abby's 3rd Birthday. Since her parents are on vacation in Hawaii we partied with her tonight! Abby and Chloe are 5 days apart, so they have really grown up together They are getting so big!!! Wendy is my sister, and Abby is her daughter. She is great at blogging her family activities, so I thought she'd be thrilled to see this!

Abby got nail polish and yummy smelling (and tasting) lip gloss. Wendy will thank me later,ha,ha. She loves barbie so she got barbie flip flops, kite, and book with a read along CD. She was thrilled!!! She also got a cute new pink shirt. Abby was so cute. She wanted to go out and fly her kite. But it was dark so she settled for getting her nails painted.

It's a girl!!!

I'm not really good at this blogging stuff. I never think about it. But my sister Wendy is really good at hers and she reminded me this weekend to blog.
So today I had my ultrasound and we found out that we are having another girl! Poor Tim, he really wanted a brother. But he'll survive somehow!

greenfield gators

This summer Sara, Hannah, Becca, and Tim all did swim team at Greenfield. Most days they loved it. We were only able to go to the first swim meet because every Saturday was something going on. It was great exercise and we carpooled with their friends, so they had fun. The carpool was reliable most of the time. It ended last week but I wanted to add a few pictures from the meet. It's a bummer, we don't have any pictures of Sara and Hannah, the camera arrived after they swam. But at least we have some of Becca and Tim.

About Time

I know, everyone keeps telling me to update. We'll life here is busy right now. My kids are on Greenfield Gators Swim Team and love it. Some days they whine that they worked them really hard, but I tell them it's good for them. Theres no other excercise they are getting, it's to hot!! We went to the airport today to see Zack off on his mission, good luck Zack!!! We've been busy working on girls camp stuff. Being in charge of stake 4th years is a lot of work!!! It is going to be so much fun, hope it all works how we are planning!! I went shopping for the awards tonight with Christine Horlacher tonight, I forgot how fun the dollar stores are!! We found a lot of stuff, so that is closer to being done!

Catching some zzzzzzz's

One night at bedtime we couldn't find Timmy anywhere and when we found him he was sound asleep in the livingroom chair. He's even under the pillow.

Buttercup November 2008

One of our families favorite vacation spots is the sand dunes. If you asked any of my kids where the funnest place is i'm sure that is what they would say. So in November we went to Buttercup for 4 days and we all had a wonderful time. We had a smaller group than normal, but it still was just as much fun as always. It is a never ending sand pit for the kids. The minute they get up until I make them go to bed it is nonstop playing. The kids are digging in the sand, rolling in the sand, riding some kind of vehicle, playing games, eating, and just having fun the entire day! It's great because rarely is there any fighting, and the kids of all ages get along. The kids favorite place at Buttercup is the wall. If you go out and around a ways theres a hugh sand wall that theres not a lot of riders so the kids can climb up and race and roll down. It takes a lot to get up, your legs are burning when you reach the top. But the sand there is the softest sand you will ever feel! It's a whole lot of fun!!! The adults just ride and sit around and talk. It's very relaxing, and at night we always have a campfire and smores. I love smores!!!! Ya, life doesn't get much better than this!! Just kidding, but it is a blast!!
